The sources told the outlet, King Charles and William’s alleged power struggles came to a head in April, when it was reported how the Prince of Wales had urged his father to focus on his health and not undertake his trip to the US.

But William’s advice was allegedly overruled by Queen Camilla, who is said to be encouraging the monarch to show his strength as reigning monarch.

Amid this development, the future king feels his father has ‘reneged’ on his promise, in return, this has resulted in him paving his own path, which has occasionally come at a cost to his royal duty.

There has been a very clear shift in William’s attitude lately, the source said and added “He’s become much more difficult.”

“Most people are convinced he’s acting out because his father reneged on his promise to hand over a share of the power and he’s angry and trying to punish him for it by being less available,” the source continued.

Last year, the Times, citing the close sources had revealed that Prince William had also left Princess Anne irritated with less workload.

"She’s still doing most of the investitures at Windsor even though William lives there. It annoys her," the insider had said.
