Prince William’s bid to ease homelessness has been a passion project for the last few decades and most recently he even made a sizable financial move that many say could change homelessness on its head.

For those unversed with this, it was his decision to sell over 20% of the Duchy of Cornwall, for £500m, out of the total 128,000 acres.

More recently he even set up a Data Lab, which is an initiative aimed at harnessing appropriate data for proper “legal and ethical guidelines.”

The heir even assembled a panel hosted by Jeff Humphrey, according to the Daily Star and it saw the prince saying,

Discussions also encompassed a number of bigwigs like panel member Zahra Bahrololoumi, president and CEO of Salesforce UK and Ireland.

She explained the need for Data Labs and said, “the Lab has the expertise to make sure that the data is used appropriately and responsibly and that's hugely important to preserve the dignity of human beings.”

A key part of the Data Labs is that the computer system aims at seeing banking information from 5.4million anonymous customers, the ones used for this were NatWest customers and it sought to merge with recent census data to identify Scottish areas where individuals faced heightened homelessness risks.
