Should Princesses Beatrice, Eugenie have ever attended the Peter Phillips wedding? Expert weighs in

The wedding ceremony between Peter Phillips and his NHS nurse wife Harriet Phillips has caused quite the stir, not because of the couple themselves but because of the way Princesses Beatrice, Eugenie were welcomed despite their parents being MIA and public enemy number one, in the eyes of the British public.

What is pertinent to mention is that the specific backlash against the sisters has been few and far between, only igniting the one time news broke that they refused an audit into their personal finances by Prince William. Other than that they have remained on good terms and the kiss between the cousins was a headline that made the rounds for days.

Now with it being days later a brand and culture expert like Nick Ede came forward to Express and touched on why he thinks their decision to attend the wedding in the first place was a “good thing”.

In his eyes its true that the sisters haven’t done “anything wrong” in the way their parents are being accused of.

Hence, “I think as a strategy it’s a good idea for them now to be visible – they haven’t done anything wrong and they are part of a big family,” he said.

This is also why he doubled down before concluding too and said, “To see them celebrate with their friends and family was a good thing and in the long run its establishing them as being present and in the moment and not shying away due to their parents problems.”
