Ukraine president meets King Charles after Prince Harry's blunt comments
Prince Harry visited Ukraine in April, calling on Russian president Putin to end the war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited King Charles III at Windsor Castle on Monday, according to Buckingham Palace.
The royal family's social media accounts also shared a picture of the monarch and his guest.
The meet followed high-level discussions at Downing Street on Sunday evening, where British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the Ukrainian leader alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
In April, King Charles's younger son Prince Harry made an unannounced visit to Ukraine and called on Russia's President Vladimir Putin to end the war and on US President Donald Trump to show leadership to help resolve the conflict.
By convention, the British royal family do not speak out on political matters, although King Charles and other senior royals have regularly voiced their support for Ukraine. But Harry, on his third visit to the country since the war began, used far more explicit language than any of his relatives have done previously, according to Reuters news agency.
