Sarah Ferguson 'crying' after Andrew arrest
Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson feels 'exposed' as royal protection fades
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly in a panicking mode as her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was recently arrested.
The former Duchess of York is said to be struggling emotionally following the arrest, according to Closer Magazine.
An insider stated, "Sarah is panicking – this has shaken her. She’s repeatedly said she has nothing to hide – she’d be transparent and would co-operate with police. She’s not running from anything."
"Sarah’s been crying a lot, she’s inconsolable. It’s not just about the legal side – it’s also the humiliating public scrutiny, and the feeling that it’s all crashing down around her," they added.
Sarah is said to be aware that there's no one who can protect her, leaving her "feeling very exposed."
"She’s scared – but for herself. Sarah has weathered scandals before but she’s not certain she’ll come out the other side this time – that’s what frightens her most," the source added.
This comes as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the ex-couple who remained close for decades even after their divorce in 1996, continue to face questions over their past associations connected to financier Jeffrey Epstein.
