Prince Harry hopes to host King Charles on his US trip
Prince Harry reportedly wants King Charles to visit him during his upcoming US trip
Prince Harry hopes his father King Charles would visit him during his upcoming trip to the US.
According to latest reports, the Duke of Sussex is hoping for a reunion between the monarch and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, this year.
Sources told The Sun that Harry would welcome the King visiting him in California during Charles’s planned trip to the US in April and would like him to spend time with the Sussexes at the family’s Montecito home.
“Harry has made it clear that he would love his dad to come and visit him and the family,” the source said.
They added, “He knows that they are strained, but he has mentioned several times a hope that his father can have a relationship with his grandchildren.”
This comes amid rumours that Harry would bring his wife Meghan Markle and their kids to the UK as he believes he could win his legal fight over police protection.
Speaking on this, a royal expert previously wrote for Daily Mail, "Setting foot on American soil will inevitably raise questions about whether he will see his wayward son, Prince Harry and his children, whom he has met only once before.”
“He last saw his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022."
However, a PR source said, "Extending an invitation to meet his father will almost certainly be a media event. But so too will any failure to invite him.”
“It will be a story if Harry is there, and it will be a story if he isn’t. It’s quite a dilemma."
