Prince Harry, Meghan Markle publicist's exit hints at Sussexes 'collapse'?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face online backlash after senior aide’s exit
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced a fresh wave of online backlash following the departure of senior aide James Holt.
Following the news that Holt has resigned after decade-long service, critics took to X (formerly Twitter) to question the exit of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s senior aide.
Royal commentator Dan Wootton claimed Holt’s decision to return to the UK signalled deeper problems with the Sussexes camp.
He penned, “James Holt has been one of the most despicable Harry & Meghan paid PR propagandists since their time in the Royal Family.”
“His decision to quit & move back to the UK means the whole project has collapsed. The grifters are fresh out of money & all out of ideas. It’s really over.”
Uther users on X suggested he had chosen to step away to protect his career as challenges mounted behind the scenes.
“So I have some theories on the latest staff departure… James Holt decided enough is enough, they don’t listen, everything’s sinking, cut his losses & start fresh back on home soil. Salvaging his career and moving on,” one critic wrote.
“Perhaps they simply could no longer afford to bribe him to stay, I mean 280% salary increase in 4 years is mind blowing,” they added.
“Or another theory, Harry is intending on coming back to the UK, he’s miserable, they’ve separated and he’s lining up his ducks. James is only getting ready to set up base for Harry’s return to the UK and separation from Meghan.
“I don’t believe the Royals want anything to do with him, they don’t trust him, and I do not believe they would be involved, but I do believe Harry would try and bulldoze his way back to the UK and try to compete with his brother.
“James Holt only went with them to California in the first place because of Harry in my opinion. Thoughts?”
“BOOM! Just after Meredith Maines escaped the Sussex-nightmare, James Holt left too,” another wrote. “Harry & Meghan can no longer pay and retain their own employees? Are they THAT broke?”
