Trump reacts to shocking ransom note discovery in Nancy Guthrie case

The Nancy Guthrie case has taken a dramatic turn with a disturbing discovery of a ransom note claiming the death of Savannah Guthrie’s mother.

On Tuesday, new reports emerged regarding Nancy's abduction and the ransom notes that were sent to Guthrie’s family and multiple news outlets, including CBS and CNN.

The first note demanded a ransom of millions of dollars in Bitcoin for her release and in the second note it was mentioned that the kidnappers did not mean to kill Nancy intentionally but she died shortly after the abduction and she "is buried somewhere in Nature." 

The news has sent shockwaves across the internet. Even President Donald Trump reacted to this shocking ransom note discovery.

Speaking to reporters while landing in Pennsylvania for a speech, President Trump responded, “I hope they find her. That family has gone through hell. I hope they find her.”

He also urged hope that law enforcement officials find Savannah Guthrie’s mom as the family has been going through a lot in these four months.

In February, Donald Trump told the New York Post that if Nancy Guthrie were found dead, her kidnappers would face the "most severe" federal consequences, suggesting that the death penalty could be a possible outcome.

As reported by the NBC, the second note evoked a tearful response from Savannah and her siblings, citing they had received the note and completely understood.

Guthrie responded heartbreakingly, “We received your message and we understand.”

“I don't have any comment on this story and I'm not involved in our coverage, but I can't pretend I'm not here. We are in agony and we cannot be at peace.”

“No matter how much I try to come out here everyday and smile and find that joy and I will, I promise I will… this is the moment to tell you we need your help, we're begging for your help and I'm not going to miss that opportunity,” she added.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing from her Arizona home since February 1. Since then, law enforcement officials and the FBI have not been able to find a breakthrough in the investigation.
