Princess Eugenie has reportedly arrived at Clarence House ahead of the christening ceremony for Princess Beatrice's daughter Athena.
As per the report by the GB News, the baptism of Eugenie’s niece is taking place today at the Chapel Royal within St James's Palace.
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are gathering close relatives and friends to celebrate their second daughter.
Princess Eugenie and Beatrice parents Sarah and Andrew have also been invited to attend the event.
The Daily Mail, recently citing royal insiders, reported "Beatrice has, of course invited her father. But things are not warm between them. However, she's worried about him.
"He's going through a low ebb with his mental health and she recognises that he dotes on his grandchildren and it would be cruel to deprive him of the chance to attend the christening."
However, the insider said Beatrice has taken the major step after some ‘careful conversations and diplomacy’ with King Charles.
The insider said: "Some careful conversations and diplomacy with King Charles will have taken place to get to this stage."
The insider tells the outlet, "It's going to be a royal occasion but everyone is dreading the thought of seeing Andrew there.”
The report further claims there will also be European royals attending, including Princess Nina of Greece and Denmark, who is Athena's godmother.
The GB news reported Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson will be present at the ceremony, representing a significant moment as their first attendance at any royal function since they lost their York titles.
