Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell is in a legal battle with a senior sunbather over his $3.8 million Florida beach property.
The band member, 50, has filed a civil lawsuit against 67-year-old Carolyn Barrington Hill, accusing her of repeatedly trespassing, shouting at his property manager, and harassing his family.
The lawsuit, filed on September 19, claims Hill entered the property at Santa Rosa Beach multiple times between April and September, ignoring warnings to leave.
Littrell says the encounters forced him to hire security to protect his wife, Leighanne, 56, and their home.
Florida law generally allows public access to wet sand, but the dry sand above the high-water line can be private property, which the Littrells clearly mark with “No Trespassing” signs.
Tensions escalated after Hill alleged Littrell’s property manager threatened her with a drill. In video footage, she warned that she would use pepper spray if approached again.
Hill has since filed a motion to dismiss the suit, with a hearing set for December 11.
Other visitors have also reportedly felt threatened by the drill, which led to police intervention on multiple occasions.
This isn’t Littrell’s first confrontation over beach access. Earlier this year, he sued Walton County, claiming authorities failed to curb trespassing and protect his property.
His filings included video evidence of disputes between his family and beachgoers and called out the sheriff for dismissing his private beach rights.
Littrell and Leighanne, married since 2000 with one adult son, purchased the Santa Rosa Beach home in February 2023.
