Princess Eugenie suffers legal setback just day after family celebration
Princess Eugenie faces another obstacle following Andrew, Fergie exit
Tensions were only beginning to ease for Princess Eugenie and her family when a new bombshell was dropped on King Charles’s niece.
Eugenie and her elder sister Princess Beatrice had been returning to their normal routines and jobs following the turmoil they faced given the disgrace of their parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
The 35-year-old royal, who has a profession in the art field, found herself embroiled in a legal setback with her art gallery. Eugenie is an associative director at the art gallery, Hauser & Wirth since 2015.
It is now being investigated as it was charged with breaching Russian sanctions, according to a new report by The Times. The gallery is accused of supplying luxury goods to “a person connected with Russia”.
Although, the report clarifies that there is nothing that implicates King Charles’s niece in the ordeal.
Following the news, a spokesperson for the gallery released a statement.
“We are fully committed to complying with all our legal obligations including sanctions,” it stated. “As the case is ongoing we are unable to comment further other than say we strongly contest this charge and intend to plead not guilty.”
The news came just a day after it was revealed that Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank celebrated a milestone for the drinks business he founded nine years ago.
Jack, who is a marketing executive, found that his company made impressive profits in the last year, according to AEB Consultant. The company “held £722,000 in cash reserves and reported £569,000 in ongoing profits in the year to January”.
