Luxembourg royals celebrate new baby arrival amid change of throne
Princess Alexandra and Nicolas Bagory welcome their second child, Hélie
Princess Alexandra and her husband Nicolas Bagory have welcomed their second child together.
The royals made the delightful announcment in a press release on Tuesday, the birth took place on Friday, October 17, with Victoire being excited to gain a little brother.
In the brief message, the royal family said that there's a new arrival at the Grand Ducal Court: Princess Alexandra and her husband Nicolas Bagory have become parents for the second time, welcoming a baby boy called Hélie.
Princess Alexandra was last seen in public heavily pregnant during the recent change of throne on October 3 with Nicolas Bagory.
No additional details regarding the newborn or the family’s plans have been released. Baby Hélie is ninth in line to the Luxembourg throne, after his sister.
In Autumn, Princess Alexandra revealed that she's due to welcome her second child with her husband.
"Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are very pleased to announce that Princess Alexandra and Mr. Nicolas Bagory are expecting their second child," the royal court shared in a press release.
It cntinued: "The Grand Duke, the Grand Duchess, and members of both families join in the joy of their children."
Princess Alexandra, the fourth child and only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, is sixth in line to the Luxembourg throne – and has been preparing for royal life since childhood.
