Prince Harry finally opened up on his 54-minute meeting with his dad King Charles III on Wednesday, September 10.
The Duke of Sussex shared major update on his father's health in response to a question about his meeting as he enjoyed a private tea with the cancer-stricken monarch at Clearance House, recalling the moments he used to spend with him before quitting the royal life.
Harry appeared in high spirits as he mingled with corporate sponsors and government ministers at an Invictus reception at The Gherkin in the City of London after reunion with the King.
Asked how his father was by a reporter shortly after arriving at the reception, Harry responded as saying: "Yes he’s great, thank you."
His calmness and confidence spoke volumes about his meeting with the monarch.
Harry was indeed in good mood and relaxed at the event, suggesting to many that the private encounter with his father had gone well. He also tried to convince the royal fans that his dad will live long and remain on throne as he's still fit and healthy.
The meeting between Charles and Harry was expected after their aides secret meeting in London, with numerous royal commentators and historians expressing optimism that their private discussion will help to pave the way for a reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family.
The Duke stepped down from the working monarchy in 2020 along with his wife Meghan Markle.
