Princess Anne supports Princess Eugenie amid King Charles major plans
Princess Eugenie receives support from Princess Anne as Buckingham Palace makes announcement
Princess Anne has proven to be a pillar of strength for the Royal Family, especially her brother King Charles, but she is now showing up for an important cause concerning her niece.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Princess Royal will be attending a special royal engagement next week after Princess Eugenie’s meaningful visit in May.
Anne will be opening Horatio’s Garden at The Princess Royal Spinal Cord Injuries Centre, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Eugenie, who underwent surgery for scoliosis at the age of 12, is a patron of the charity Horatio’s Garden. She visited the Salisbury District Hospital in May as it opened a vibrant sanctuary within the heart of NHS spinal injury centres.
The younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson holds a personal connection to the charity since she knows the painful struggles – mental, physical and emotional – which come with spinal issues.
Anne has a pleasant relationship with her nieces and nephews. The 74-year-old royal’s gesture holds a powerful meaning and love for Eugenie, who had to go through a difficult ordeal in life.
The move also comes as reports suggests how King Charles may be contemplating big plans Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice.
Previously, a source told Hello! magazine that Buckingham Palace “appreciates” the two sisters for their contribution and loyalty. Charles himself has appointed crucial tasks to the York princess – Eugenie was appointed as a mentor at the King’s Foundation and Beatrice took on solo trip abroad to represent the monarch.
Moreover, royal author Ingrid Seward also claimed that King Charles has entrusted an important task to Prince William about Beatrice and Eugenie to bring his cousins “into the fold” once he becomes King.
