Prince Harry’s UK charity makes delightful announcement

Prince Harry’s ties with the royal family may be strained but the Duke of Sussex continues to support the charities that he is still a patron of.

King Charles’s younger son has been a patron of WellChild, a UK charity that helps children with serious illnesses and their families, for the past 16 years. Harry, who is father to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, previously revealed how much the charity means to him especially after becoming a father.

On Thursday, the charity congratulated the shortlisted participants for the 2026 London Marathon and extended an invited to marathon runners to join the cause and become a part of something much bigger.

The charity shared that the those who chose to partner with them would receive “amazing support, cheer points, running top, team camaraderie and fantastic post-race reception”.

They urged to show support and “make a huge difference to seriously ill children in the UK”.

It is understood that Prince Harry might make remote appearance to share a message for the runners.

Harry has always shown support for the charity and has actively participates in their annual awards ceremony, which celebrates the inspirational children and young people the charity supports. He even uses his platform to call for nominations for the awards.

The update comes as tensions continue to grow between Prince Harry and his father King Charles, who has not been returning his son's effort to contact him.

Royal experts believe that after Harry's outburst during the BBC interview last month, it's highly unlikely the rift would ever heal between the father and son.
