Prince Harry fuels feud with King Charles after emotional appeal
Will King Charles make amends with Prince Harry after his 'proactive' move?
Prince Harry received severe backlash for once again fueling a feud with royals despite expressing strong desires to mend amends.
For the unversed, the Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance in Shanghai for a conference, promoting sustainable tourism.
His visit came exactly at the same time when his father King Charles was continuing his historic tour of Canada.
Discussing Harry's "proactive" move, royal expert Richard Eden said, "So he (Harry) got on his jet and racked up a few more air miles to get over to this conference over in China. Obviously, that's sensitive; he's done it when the King is in Canada."
In conversation at Daily Mail's Palace Confidential podcast, he added, "But also it's very interesting, I'd love to know more about why he is there, is he forging new business links, we know that he and Meghan are very keen to make a lot of money."
Another royal commentator Richard Kay believes that the Duke should have "cancelled" his flight and appeared via a Zoom call in order to respect his father's significant tour.
"He could have done it on Zoom. I mean, did he really have to travel for a meet-and-greet, because that's what it looked like?" he stated.
Mentioning an old event, Mr Kay shared, "For example, of course, the Diana Awards. I remember once he was in some lovely chalet on a ski holiday with various rich friends, and you saw him in this chalet chatting to the winners of the Diana Award."
The royal expert said, "So on that occasion, he felt fine to do it on video; he didn't want to interrupt his holiday."
