Prince Harry made headlines with a keynote speech he delivered at an event in Shanghai during his father, King Charles', historic Canada tour.

The Duke of Sussex took centre stage at Trip.com Group’s Envision 2025 Global Partner Conference, urging Asia-Pacific (APAC) travel industry leaders to join hands for the betterment of sustainable tourism, especially during the alarming climate crisis.

While addressing the audience, Harry acknowledged the challenges faced by the tourism sector and emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration and innovation to achieve crucial climate and conservation targets by 2030.

According to Sussex.com, the former working royal also "highlighted the Asia-Pacific region’s growing influence and its unique ability to shape the future of travel through sustainable practices."

While lauding the efforts made by APAC, Harry believes that the joint efforts of leaders will definitely help to "guide both travellers and the industry" for more inclusive approaches, resulting in a lower negative impact on the environment.

Moreover, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's father "noted that demand for sustainable options is already growing, citing recent research by Trip.com Group showing APAC travellers are more likely than their global peers to seek out responsible travel experiences."

Harry, the founder of Travalyst, a non-profit organization promoting sustainability in the travel sector, reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with regional partners for systemic and lasting change for both people and the planet.

It is important to mention that Prince Harry made an important statement in his latest outing ahead of the monarch's significant "Speech from the Throne" in Ottawa today, (Tuesday).
