Shahbaz orders steps to control swine flu
LAHORE
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while issuing instructions to the provincial cabinet committee to take all possible measures for controlling swine flu, directed that the cabinet committee should play an active role and all possible protective measures should be adopted against the disease. He further directed that vigorous awareness campaign against swine flu should be continued and easy availability of medicines for the treatment of the disease should be ensured.
Shahbaz Sharif said no effort should be spared in the treatment of the patients of swine flu and the provincial cabinet committee should monitor the treatment facilitates for swine flu patients in hospitals.
He said all-out medical facilities should be ensured in the special wards set up for the patients of swine flu in hospitals.
The chief minister said awareness should be promoted among the masses regarding the protection from swine flu.
He said cabinet committee should closely monitor the measures for overcoming swine flu.
He said all-out treatment facilities should be provided to the patients of swine flu in hospitals and visits to hospitals should be conducted and a report should be submitted regarding the available medical facilities.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif warned that no laxity would be tolerated in the treatment of the patients of swine flu.
LPC: Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated newly elected President of Lahore Press Club Shahbaz Mian, Vice-President Abdul Majeed Sajid, General Secretary Shadab Riaz, Finance Secretary Zaheer Ahmad Baber, Joint Secretary Zahid Gogi and the members of the governing body on their victory in the elections.
In a message of felicitations, the chief minister expressed the hope that the new office-bearers of the Lahore Press Club would utilise all their energies for resolving the problems of journalists and coming up to their expectations.
