OGRA jacks up petrol, CNG prices

ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and petroleum products with the exception of diesel with effect from July 16 for the next fortnight.

 

According to the OGRA notifications, petrol price has been raised by Rs 1.41 per litre to Rs 85.90; HOBC by Rs5.64 to Rs114.52 and; light diesel rate increased by Rs 1.62 a litre to Rs 85.33.

 

The price of diesel has been kept unchanged at Rs 97.21.

 

OGRA has also ratcheted up the price of CNG by Rs 1.29 per kilogram across the country.

 

The new rate of CNG has been fixed at Rs78.65 in Region-1 covering Potohar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

 

In Region 2 (Punjab and Sindh) the rate of the commodity has been jacked up to Rs71.92 per kg.

 

The revision in prices of POL/CNG has been made under the government's policy to review the rates of fuel on fortnightly basis.
