PESHAWAR: Two persons were killed and 12 others injured in rain-related incidents in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) on Wednesday.
KALAYA/PARACHINAR: A woman and her minor son were killed and nine others sustained injuries in rain-related incidents in Orakzai and Kurram Agencies, sources said. The sources said the continuous raining in Orakzai and Kurram Agencies caused casualties where a roof of the house of Qamar Zaman collapsed in Saam area in Orakzai Agency. His wife and minor son were buried alive under the debris. The locals reached the spot and retrieved the bodies from the debris.
Meanwhile, the house of Abdur Rehman was struck by lightning at night in Kurram Agency in which nine members of the family were injured. Some of the injured identified as Abdur Rehman, Munir Khan, Muhammad Bilal, Namreen, Noreen and Muhammad Mustafa were rushed to a hospital in Thall tehsil in Hangu district.
BISHAM: Three persons sustained injuries in a roof collapse incident in Shangla district.The sources said that three persons sustained injuries when a mud house collapsed in Barhal village in Shapur area due to heavy raining for the last four days in the district. The injured were taken to a local hospital.
MINGORA: Temperature lowered in the district due to the intermittent rain showers for the last four days.The hill tops received snowfalls and people from other parts of the country started visiting the picturesque valley for enjoying the snowfall.
BANNU: Hailstorm and heavy rain destroyed standing crops in Domail tehsil. The sources said that standing crops were destroyed due to the hailstorm and rains in Domail tehsil.The rain also damaged several houses in the area.
LAKKI MARWAT: An aged woman was killed when boundary wall of the house of Rasool Khan collapsed in Murghli Merakhel village in Thal Wazir, Frontier Region (FR) Lakki
