Root International Schools (RIS) launched a whole new initiative with the name Bridged Learning with Interactive Communication (BLINC). RIS organised an in-depth training session for the branch heads, science teachers and ICT teachers.
Sonia Saleem; CEO SE Group, Regional Head Promethean (UK) and Muhammad Usman Khan; Citizenship & Community Affair Executive of Microsoft Pakistan were the guest of honour at the ceremony.
Under the aegis of RIS CEO Walid Mushtaq, Roots International Schools is the ‘Pioneer in Pakistan’ to introduce a whole new initiative at a proliferation of schools with the name Bridged Learning with Interactive Communication. This initiative offers the delivery of lessons in the classrooms by the use of technology to enhance learning. The Promethean interactive smart boards installed in classroom are used as a tool to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Roots International Schools’ DQCA team has selected the software of Activinspire and specially designed automation based interactive e-worksheets that will help to enhance the learning experience of students and allow them to acquire the basic concepts much more quickly than before. The features offered by Activinspire such as Page Browser, Resource Browser, Object Browser, Property Browser and Action Brower have been used to develop the customised interactive worksheets. The students themselves will be able to complete the e-worksheets on the smart boards making it a lasting learning experience.
The e-worksheets have been designed for the whole Science curriculum (Activity sheets and Assessment sheets) from grade 1 to 5. The interactive e-sheets are almost the replica of Activity worksheets and Assignment sheets provided with the curriculum.
These worksheets have also been designed for Eco-literacy Initiative and Nanotechnology to ensure better learning and understanding in the classrooms. RIS is proud to announce as a first BLINC school to the parents, students and community.
