Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will open its SSC to Ph.D level spring 2015 admissions in various disciplines from February 1.
Last date for the admission will be March 5. Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui has approved an admission plan that includes setting up prospectus sale points at its main campus regional and coordinating offices throughout the country.
He also directed the Admission department to provide maximum facilities to the applicants in taking the admission in their desired discipline as well as ensuring availability of admission forms at nearest places.
According to Director Admissions Syed Zia ul Hasnain, admission forms and prospectus of Matric, FA and BA level programmes for overseas Pakistanis in the Middle East would be placed at the university’s website www.aiou.edu.pk.
Computerised admission forms will soon be sent to all the continuing students. The university will also place the same at its official website.
Admission of Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) would be offered in Agriculture Extension, Computer Sciences, Teacher Education, Science Education, Special Education, DNFE and Educational Planning and Management (EPM).
The admissions of MS will offer in Management Sciences and Computer Sciences and M.Phil will be offered in Mathematics, Statistics, History, Economics, Urdu, Pakistani Languages, Teacher Education, Science Education, Special Education, DNFE and EPM.
The admission of M.Sc (Hons) will include in Livestock management, agriculture extension and rural development while the admissions of M.Sc will offer in Mass Communication, TV Production, Sociology, Mathematics, Statistic and Physics.
The admissions of Master would be offered in Master in Librarian and Information Sciences (MLIS), TEFL, History, Teacher Education, Science, Education, Special Education, DNFE, EPM, Col MBA, MPA and M.Com. Under M.Ed programme the admissions would be offered in Teacher Education, Science Education, Special Education and DNFE.
Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication, Computer Science, EPM and TEFL, BS in Chemistry and Microbiology under Teacher Education programme the admission of CT and ATTC Associate Degree in Commerce would also be offered.
Director Admission said that under BA programme BA (General) B.Com, Mass Communication, BLIS, BA (Dars-e-Nizami) and intermediate admissions will include FA (General) I.Com, FA (Dars-e-Nizami). Matric short-term educational programmes and French online admissions will also be offered in the forthcoming semester.
