LAHORE
Jamaat-e-Islam acting ameer Liaqat Baloch has said that the bureaucracy in Punjab Education Department is trying to sabotage the Chief Minister’s Road map for Education Plan. He was talking to a delegation of Punjab Teachers United Front which called on him at Mansoora Thursday led by its chairman Tariq Mahmud and apprised him about their problems. Liaqat Baloch urged the chief minister to take immediate notice of the victimisation of teachers. He said that the indifferent attitude of the bureaucracy was adding to the teachers’ problems and there was an atmosphere of harassment in school education. He said it was the duty of the government to resolve all issues in accordance with the law. He said the government was responsible for creating an atmosphere for universal education but the situation was getting worse with every passing day and undue conditions were laid for the promotions of teachers.
