As the newly-constructed dual carriageway connecting Ferozepur Road and Multan Road is being finalised, LDA has announced a power breakdown for adjoining areas today (Tuesday).
LDA officials Monday said supply of electricity would remain suspended in various localities due to shifting of 11Kv lines in connection with construction work on the road dualisation project from LOS to Multan Road.
The affected areas will include Fateh Sher Road, Rustam Park, Nonarian, Union Park, Multan Road, Zubair Park and Jinnah Colony. Inconvenience caused to the residents of these areas has been regretted by LDA.
auction: Five commercial plots were auctioned by the Lahore Development Authority against a sum of Rs. 19.79 million on Monday.
Maximum bid was offered for commercial plot No 13 situated at Fruits and Vegetables Market, Allama Iqbal Town, measuring three marlas and 25 sq ft.
The plot was auctioned against a total amount of Rs.5.05 million. Its base price had been fixed as Rs. 1.6 million per marla where as it fetched a price of Rs.1.625 million per marla.
The open auction of plots was held at the LDA Community Centre, New Muslim Town, which was participated by 15 bidders who had deposited earnest money in the form of pay orders of requisite amount for this purpose.
Severe competition was observed on this occasion as the competitors enthusiastically offered their bids.
Per marla base price of these plots had been estimated by the approved Evaluators of the Banks Association of Pakistan.
Members of the Auction Committee of LDA, including Director Finance Zaheer Asghar Raana, Directors Estate Management Akbar Nakai, Usman Ghani and Muazzam Rashid, Directors Land Development Muhammad Asad Ameer and Rai Riaz Ijaz as well as other officers supervised the auction proceedings.
Explanation: The Punjab government Monday has sought explanation from Additional Secretary Human Rights and Minority Affairs Usman Sarosh Alvi who did not leave the charge even after his transfer last month.
The explanation has been sought from him by Services-I wing of the S&GAD. He has been asked that he was transferred from the post of Additional Secretary Human Rights & Minority Affairs on April 17, 2015 and was posted as Director Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab. Even after one month of the notification of his transfer order he did not leave the charge.
Instead of assuming the charge of the office of Director Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, he is still continuing working on the position of Additional Secretary Human Rights & Minority Affairs causing to create hindrance in the official working.
