Police could not control crimes without holding pickets and effective patrolling.
These views were expressed by DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf while presiding over a meeting at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines on Wednesday. SP Sadar Division, Zahid Nawaz Marwat, all DSPs and SHOs were present.
The DIG issued show-cause notices to SHO, Nawab Town, Raffi Ullah, SHO, Green Town, Muhammad Salim, SHO, Johar Town, Muhammad Ramzan and SHO, Hunjarwal, Raheel Amjad for rising crimes in their respective areas.
He issued explanatory letter to ASP, Chung, Arfan Ali, CC-II certificate to SHO, Sundar, Kamran Zaman, in charge Chowki, L-Block, SI Sagheer Ahmad and cash prize of Rs 5,000 to SI Asif Hameed on controlling crimes and arresting proclaimed offenders.
