LAHORE
Lawyers Wednesday held a partial strike to condemn terrorist attack near Police Lines, demanding the government take measures to strengthen security.
The lawyers boycotted courts in lower courts while the judges supported the cause by sitting at their retiring rooms instead of sitting in the courtrooms. Thousands of litigants suffered due to adjournment of their cases to the next dates.
The Lahore High Court Bar Association held a meeting to condemn the killing innocent people. LHCBA president Shafqat Mahmood Chohan expressed sympathies with the bereaved families. Other speakers including bar Secretary Muhammad Ahmad Chachar, Barrister Zafarullah Khan and other senior lawyers spoke on the occasion.
