KARACHI: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has dispatched first consignment of relief goods, comprising over 600 tents for the earthquake victims of the hard-hit areas in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, a statement said.
PPL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Syed Wamiq Bokhari along with Deputy Managing Director Syed Kaleem Akhtar and GMCS Sultan Maqsood inspected the consignment before its departure, it said.
Pakistan Army's rescue and relief operation team will receive it in Risalpur, KP for onward distribution, the statement said.
Around 300 people lost their lives, more than 2,000 injured and a large number of people were displaced following the tragic earthquake of 7.5 magnitude, which devastated major cities in KP and Punjab on October 26.
