Qatar to welcome Pak engineers, workers for uplift: envoy

ISLAMABAD: Qatar’s ambassador to Pakistan has said that Qatar would welcome engineers, experts and workers from Pakistan for the ongoing development and construction activities as expatriates from Pakistan are already playing useful roles in the progress and uplift of the state.
Ambassador Saqr Bin Mubarak Al-Mansouri was talking to a group of newsmen at his residence in the Diplomatic Enclave on Tuesday evening during the dinner that he hosted in their honour.
He reminded that the leadership of his country under its Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani had been enjoying the best and cordial ties with Pakistan and its leadership under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The ambassador said that Qatar was following a liberal visa policy for Pakistanis who wished to visit Qatar. The flow of engineers, workers and experts from Pakistan to Qatar is underway.
He said that Pakistan and Qatar were brotherly countries which were working hand in hand to eliminate terrorism from the face of earth. The efforts Pakistan has made in this regard are commendable and producing positive results, he added.
Yet to another query the ambassador said that arrangements for hosting FIFA World Cup of 2020 in Qatar were undergoing in the best manner. The Cup would be played and held in befitting way. He said that the services of more Pakistani engineers and workers for the construction activities and relevant departments would be acquired as per requirement.
He expressed satisfaction about the deal for the provision of LNG to Pakistan. The ambassador said that political and trade ties of the countries were attaining further strength due to the sincerity and seriousness of the two brotherly countries’ leadership.
