LAKKI MARWAT: The police on Saturday claimed to have arrested three people for harbouring hardened criminals during a special campaign in different parts of the district. An official said that the arrests were made following reports that wanted criminals had infiltrated into the area and were staying with villagers. “Local police had the credible information that some villagers give shelter to the dreaded proclaimed offenders at their houses,” he maintained. The official said District Police Chief Ali Akbar Shah formed special parties and tasked them to raid the suspected hideouts in Kalan, Bachkan Ahmadzai and Abbasa Khartakan villages. “During raids the law enforcers arrested Saifullah, Naimatullah and Qismat Khan for allegedly harbouring proclaimed offenders,” an official said, adding, the criminals identified as Abdul Wahab, Azmat and Inshaullah would come to the residences of arrested culprits to plan carrying out anti-social activities in the district.
