Two people electrocuted in Toba

TOBA TEK SINGH: Two people were electrocuted in different incidents here.
In the first incident, farmer Talib Hussain was cutting fodder with a machine when his hand touched a live wire at Chak Lasooriwala near Sindhillianwali. As a result, he received an electric shock and died on the spot. In the second incident, Muhammad Shafiq died when he received an electric shock while switching on a bulb in his courtyard at Pirmahal.
MAN KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed while his wife and daughter were injured in an accident on Gojra-Faisalabad Road on Sunday night.
According to Gojra Sadr police, Zaman Naseer of Lodhran and his family were on way home from Faisalabad after purchasing a cow when their vehicle collided with a mini-bus. As a result, Zaman was killed on the spot while his wife and daughter were injured. Zaman’s cow was also killed in the accident. The injured family members were shifted to the Gojra THQ Hospital.
TMA OFFICIALS ACCUSED OF CORRUPTION: PML-N Gojra city general secretary Mian Muhammad Islam has accused the TMA officials of corruption.
Talking to newsmen at Gojra on Sunday night, he alleged that development contracts were being awarded to favourite contractors by the TMA officials without opening tenders. He disclosed that tenders for Painsara Road construction would be opened on August 4 but the officials had allegedly granted the contract to their favourite contractor, who had already started the construction.
11 dangerous buildings sealed in Gojra

TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra TMA Enforcement Inspector Salam Khan on Monday sealed 11 dangerous buildings.
The sealed buildings include 10 shops at Bansanwala Bazaar and an abandoned Sikh temple in the same bazaar. Meanwhile, he also sealed a shopping plaza on Moongi Road as it was built without getting approval from the TMA.
