CHAKWAL: A sum of Rs 11.2 million will be disbursed among poor, widows and needy students.
It was decided during a meeting held in the chair of Zakat and Ushr Committee district chapter chairman Sultan Raza here on Saturday. It was told that the amount would be distributed through 375 local Zakat and Ushr committees of Chakwal district. It informed that Rs 4.5 million would be disbursed among 1,500 poor people. It added that 335 male and female students of 15 colleges would get Rs 1.51 million while Rs 4.85 million would be paid to the students of Vocational Training Institute and Rs 732,000 was allocated for dowry fund. Sultan Raza assured that all the funds would be distributed purely on merit.
