FAISALABAD: Paramedics and class IV employees of three government hospitals blocked roads for not increasing their salaries and allowances as announced by the Punjab government a few months ago.


The protesters belonging to Allied Hospital, DHQ Hospital and Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology blocked roads for two hours. They wearing black armbands were chanting slogans against the government. Later, they jointly took out a rally.


Addressing the rally, Allied Hospital Action Committee president Kaleem Khan, secretary general Rana Zahid and Sabir Ghani said that they would continue their strike till acceptance of their demands. DHQ Hospital Action Committee leader Khawaja Umair also spoke.
