ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Friday approved changes in the composition of the Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms.
The Speaker National Assembly has approved changes in the composition of the Electoral Reforms Committee in pursuance of motions adopted by the National Assembly on June 19, 2014 and the Senate on June 30, 2014 and in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 3 of the Rules of the Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms and in consultation with the leaders of the parliamentary parties in the Senate through the chairman Senate.
According to the notification, Senator Mian Raza Rabbani who has been elevated as Chairman Senate, Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood, Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman, Senator Mir Israrullah Khan Zehri and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed have been withdrawn from the Committee.
