Nearly all the sporting events around the globe have been suspended and even the future tournaments too are not sure to be held. The suspension has hit several national cricketers hard who used to play county and league cricket, which have been postponed the world over. Corona virus has led to English domestic cricket season postponed till May 28 and dozens of Pakistani cricketers are now waiting the virus to subsidies so that they could return to play league cricket.
One of the cricketers said that the benefits of playing league cricket in England is that it helps financially while the game is improved. He said that the organizers have notified that the season would most probably start in the first week of June, provided conditions are normal. “If the English cricket season did not start they will surely have economic difficulties because department cricket is now not played in Pakistan and players have opted for other employments,” he added.
