Our successive governments have done practically nothing to modify the curriculum of history books that have nothing to offer except edited events. We can never rectify our mistakes without accepting them.
The history books taught in our educational institutions are a stumbling block to those preparing for CSS or other higher examinations where our traditional textbooks are not acceptable. The result is that those students aspiring for CSS examinations have to go through history books all over again. The government should revisit its approach and update history books.
