ECP postpones LB polls on special seats in Punjab, Sindh

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday postponed the local bodies elections on special seats of Punjab and Sindh which were scheduled to be held from February 8-14.The decision was taken because the matter is sub judice in the court, said a notification by the ECP.It may be mentioned here that the commission had fixed polling dates for special seats of District Councils, municipal corporations and metropolitan corporation on February 8, for indirect seats of municipal committees on February 11 and for indirect seats of union councils on February 14, respectively.
