CHAKWAL: Police Wednesday arrested three gamblers and recovered bet amount from them.
Dhudial police raided Bheen village where gamblers Umar Fazal, Imran Mehr Khan, Anwar Banaras and their accomplices were betting on a cock fighting event.
Police arrested Umar, Imran and Anwar and recovered 12 motorcycles, bet amount Rs 200,000 and a cock from them.
Accused Shoaib, Nadeem and others fled the scene. The police registered a case under Punjab Gambling Act.
2 HOUSE OWNERS BOOKED: City police Chakwal Wednesday booked two house owners who rented out their houses without informing the police.
Sub-inspector Jaffar Hussain during a search operation in Mohallah Ghusia found that Shafique had rented out his house to an Afghan named Hamash Gul without informing the police.
ASI Muhammad Ajaib booked Qammar Nawaz over renting out his house to Muhammad Ikram of village Thirpal without telling police.
