Transformer damaged as truck hits pole

CHAKWAL: A power pole and transformer were damaged when a truck hit the pole in Miani village of Kallar Kahar police station on Wednesday.
According to SDO Nasir Ali, a truck (LRC-8886) hit the pole, damaging 50KV transformer. Police registered a case against the truck driver.
DPO ASSUMES CHARGE: DPO Munir Masood Marth Wednesday assumed charge and said that the National Action Plan would be implemented and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.
Talking to reporters, he said all postings and transfers would be made on merit. The DPO said to protect life and property of people was his top priority. He urged to people to extend cooperation to police against criminal elements.
