LAHORE: The 11 national Test players in Lahore’s biosecure bubble cleared their third Covid-19 test and are now ready to leave for Barbados, said a PCB official.

The two-Test series between Pakistan and West Indies is scheduled from August 12.

Meanwhile, the scheduled training session of the team has been postponed as the team management has decided to give rest to the players, said the official.

The national cricket squad will now attend a training session on Monday. They will take on West Indies in the first T20I of the five-match series in Bridgetown, Barbados.

The team had their first practice session on Friday.

The team, which landed in the country on June 21, was tested for coronavirus before the training session began.

Meanwhile, Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise St Lucia Zouks is in talks with emerging Pakistani pacer Shahnawaz Dahani to play for them this year.

Darren Sammy, who is the head coach of St Lucia Zouks, has hired the services of Pakistan’s Wahab Riaz and Usman Qadir for the ninth edition of CPL, scheduled to start from August 28.
