LAHORE:Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) disposed of record-breaking 55 thousand tons of animal waste and resolved more than 12000 complaints during three days of Eid.
On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, LWMC carried out successful Eid-ul Azha Cleanliness Operation in the provincial capital. Thousands of sanitary workers, machinery including pickups, compactors, dumpers, loaders and local contractors participated in the operation.
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has appreciated solid waste management arrangements of the company during all days of Eid. CM Punjab acknowledged the day and night efforts of the dedicated workers who have sacrificed their Eid holidays to ensure a clean environment for Lahorites during Eid days.
Chairman LWMC Amjad Ali Awan and CEO LWMC Rafia Haider along with Chief Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik and Secretary LG & CD Noor ul Amin Mengal paid frequent visits across the city to monitor Eid cleanliness operation. They also monitored the whole operation from the video wall control room.
