Downpour in Sindh: Crops damaged, communication disrupted

SUKKUR: Heavy rain lashed in most parts of interior Sindh, damaging standing crops and disrupting communication system between villages and cities.
The downpour with thunderstorm badly affected life in cities, including Khairpur, Sukkur, Kumb, Ranipur, and Gambat. Kacho desert area of the Sindh was flooded in the wake of heavy rain. Villagers, who were stranded in rain water, demanded shelter and food for their children.
Meanwhile, SEPCO stated that as many as 80 feeders had tripped due to heavy rains, saying that repair work of feeders, including Rasoolabad, Pir jo goth, 132KV Arain Road, Rohri, Dokri and other areas was underway. In addition, weather in most parts of Sindh became pleasant after heavy rains.
