Hamza appears before FIA in money laundering probe

LAHORE: Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz on Thursday appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of the FIA allegedly in a Rs25 billion money laundering probe against his family.
Earlier, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had appeared before the FIA investigators in the same probe. It has been learnt that a five-member team of the FIA headed by Director Dr Rizwan questioned Hamza Shehbaz for forty minutes.
Moreover, on Thursday, Shehbaz and Hamza also appeared before the Banking Court and signed their surety bonds of one million each. A large number of PML-N workers had also reached the FIA office to show solidarity with their leader.
