Police arrest Afshan Latif in manhandling case
LAHORE: The Township Investigation Police have arrested former superintendent of Kashana Welfare Home Afshan Latif along with her husband in a manhandling case.
A case of manhandling was registered against Afshan Latif and her husband Noushad Hameed on the complaint of a man Sunny Younus. Afshan had slapped a DSP during a protest outside the IGP's office a few days ago.
It is pertinent to mention that the former superintendent of Kashana Welfare Home Lahore had leveled sexual abuse allegations against some of the authorities. She said that the facility is being used to supply underage girls to powerful ministers of the Punjab government. In this connection, she also wrote a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to take notice of the matter.
