LAHORE: The cricketers picked for the tours of England and the West Indies who are not part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have tested negative for Covid-19, sample of blood for which were taken from their homes.
The national cricketers will now assemble in a bio-secure bubble in Lahore and will be staying in isolation for five days before leaving for England via Abu Dhabi on a chartered plane.
The three cricketers and eight members of the team management will report to a local hotel in Lahore on June 20. The national squad will arrive in Birmingham from Lahore via Abu Dhabi on June 25, where the national squad will remain in isolation for 10 days after reaching Derby from Birmingham.
From Lahore, Haris Sohail, Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafiq, head coach Misbah-ul-Haq, bowling coach Waqar Younis, batting coach Younis Khan, assistant to manager Shahid Aslam, Dr Riaz Ahmed, trainer Malik, security manager Col (retd) Mukarram, fielding coach Abdul Majeed and media manager Ibrahim Badis will leave for Abu Dhabi.
Waqar Younis has not been tested yet.
