Fleeing militant killed in grenade blast

TANK: A militant was killed when his hand-grenade exploded when he was escaping from the security forces during a search operation in Narsas area here on Friday.

The sources said that the security forces and police launched a search operation in Narsas area in the limits of Gomal Police Station after a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area. “A militant identified as Karman Mehsud was killed when his hand-grenade exploded when he was fleeing the area,” official sources said.

The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a massive search. The sources said that the terrorists escape to the mountainous Tormandi and Ziaratzai area after carrying out sabotage activities in the area. It is to be noted that Gomal Zam Dam is seven kilometer away from Narsas area.
