KU shortlists 1,089 students for HEC need-based scholarships
The University of Karachi on Monday shortlisted as many as 1,089 students for the Higher Education Commission’s need-based scholarship programme 2021. The interviews, arranged by the KU’s Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO), were being conducted in the council room of Dean Science Office and would continue till March 26.
According to Incharge SFAO Dr Sadaf Mustafa, 1,089 students had been shortlisted for the interviews in the first phase, adding that the payment would be made from the grant which was given by the HEC in this regard. She said the selected candidates would also get a stipend of Rs6,000 every month for 10 months.
Dr Sadaf shared the scholarship programme was subject to satisfactory academic performance. All students were advised to be punctual and bring a computerised national identity card or a photocopy of B form, student card issued by the university, a receipt of the fee paid at a time of admission process and its copy otherwise they would not be allowed to sit in the interview.
