Two persons received injuries in a cylinder blast in the Ghalib Market police limits on Monday.
Rescue teams and police reached the incident place on information and shifted the victims to hospital. The injured persons were identified as Ismail, 20, and Boota, 32. Police said that a gas cylinder exploded in a shop situated at main market in the morning. The cylinder was in dilapidated condition and exploded during refilling.
As a result, two workers at the shop received injuries. Hearing the sound of the blast, a passerby informed police and rescue teams. They reached the incident place on information and started rescue operation. Police said that one of the injured people was discharged after first aid.
Valuables burnt: Valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were burnt in an incident of fire in a godown in the Lohari Gate police limits on Monday.
