The University of North Carolina, Wilmington, USA, has gifted more than 50 books to International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad.
The books were gifted by Dr. Carrie Clements of the UNCW on the occasion of her lecture arranged by the Faculty of Languages and Literature (FLL) in collaboration with the Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD) on 'Establishing Center for Teaching Excellence at IIUI' at the Lincoln's Corner, Central Library, IIU new campus.
On the occasion, Dr. Carrie Clements handed over 51 precious books for Faculty of Languages and Literature (FLL).
Dr. Munawar Iqbal Ahmad, dean of the FLL, Dr. Ayaz Afsar, chairman of the Department of English, and chief librarian, received the books from the guest speaker.
Meanwhile, the chief librarian presented his book 'The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): A Selected Bibliography in Western Languages' to the guest.
Earlier, Dr. Munawar Iqbal Ahmad welcomed the participants and briefed about partnership programme between International Islamic University, Islamabad, and University of North Carolina, Wilmington. Deans, HODs, senior faculty members and chief librarian attended the insightful lecture.
