Brian McEnery, the deputy president, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountancy, visited Roots IVY University College, here, says a press release.
Khadija Mushtaq, CEO of Roots IVY University College welcomed the esteemed guest including Mr. Sajjeed Aslam, Head of ACCA Pakistan, Saad Wasim, Country Head University of London International Programmes, Noor Ul Ain Zafer Khan, Manager Marketing ACCA Pakistan and Asad Mehmood, BRM, ACCA Pakistan.
Roots IVY takes immense pride in sharing the fact that it is the first Institution to launch the University of London International Programmes in 2003, the first institution to launch BPP University Laws in 2015 and now has set another milestone by launching the MSc Professional Accountancy as the very first affiliated centre to offer this programme in Pakistan.
MSc Professional Accountancy is a ground-breaking master's programme that enables students to gain an MSc degree and ACCA professional accountancy qualification at the same time. This route to the ACCA qualification will be of value to accountants aspiring to senior roles and enable them to stand out from the crowd in terms of their qualifications. Compared with the cost of studying for an accountancy qualification and a master's separately, this will save time and money for many students.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy President, Brian McEnery said:
"I am delighted that I have visited Roots IVY University College and have met some exceptionally talented students.
Sajjeed Aslam, Head of ACCA said, "We are keen to support the flourishing accountancy sector in Pakistan and the advances that have been made, as well as the challenges ahead, in Pakistan." He further added:
"The ACCA give students the flexibility to work around existing jobs and family commitments whilst studying for a world-class Accountancy qualification. The degrees that students earn while studying in Pakistan at Roots IVY are exactly the same, in terms of quality of teaching and the end qualification, as those earned by students in the UK or anywhere else in the world".
Saad Wasim, country head of University of London in his speech said" Roots IVY is one of the Affiliate Centre of University of London which has produced some phenomenal graduates who are true inspiration of the youth. We are very excited to offer the newly introduced MSc Professional Accountancy in collaboration with the ACCA."
