Cleanliness drive on Allama Iqbal Road

A special cleanliness drive was carried out on Allama Iqbal Road, especially focusing on the Javed Manzil, the residence of national poet Dr Muhammad Allama Iqbal on Thursday.
“Historical buildings and monuments are the assets of any nation and extraordinary measures are needed to preserve the legacy,” said Huseyin Kartal, Senior Manager Operations of Albayrak Waste Management Company, while supervising the cleanliness drive. He said the sanitation and cleanliness were important factors in ensuring the preservation.
During the drive, an awareness camp was installed and brochures were distributed among shopkeepers, passengers and residents.
The surroundings were mechanically washed and an awareness walk was carried out. The walk was led by Huseyin Kartal and Chaudhry Arshad.
A large number of local residents also participated. At the end of this activity, Albayrak team also visited the Allama Iqbal Museum. Albayrak Manager Communications Naeema Saeed was also present.
